Zoom is our basic car kit made of several boards: a mainboard with motor drivers and a place for the SolderBit controller based on ESP32 — or, if you want, use it with a micro:bit; it's fully compatible. You get four motor adapter boards for N20 motors at 250 RPM — fast and agile enough for outside or inside — and wheels with rubber tires for good traction on any surface. The included Joystick SRT is made of three boards and has everything you need to drive Zoom. It runs on 2 AAA batteries and comes with its own SolderBit (micro:bit works here too).

Yes. Boards join with metal standoffs using only a screwdriver — no dangerous tools necessary. Older kids can move to real soldering with the patent-pending grooves, with supervision.
